Charity of the year
This year, we have chosen Hope House Children’s Hospices as our Charity of the Year. We will be supporting Hope House and Ty Gobaith throughout the year with fundraising and on 1st July, we will be sponsoring (and taking part in) the Snowdon Trek.
Hope House in Shropshire and Ty Gobaith in North Wales provide specialist nursing care and support to children with conditions so serious they are not expected to reach adulthood. Our dedicated teams also support the whole family from diagnosis, throughout the lifetime of the child and beyond. Our high quality care and support includes stays at Hope House and Ty Gobaith, bereavement and counselling services, home care, support for brothers and sisters and a social work team. As a registered charity, Hope House and Ty Gobaith need to raise £6 million each year. That’s well over £100,000 every week to make sure they can carry on being there for all the children and families who need support in North and mid Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire.
